If you are anything like me then you probably have a closet full of clothes, yet you often find yourself without anything to wear! No matter how many dresses I may already own, I still find it hard to find the perfect one – often leading me to go out and buy yet another dress! But I have recently started looking at the concept of recycled fashion to change by attitude.

Fashion is a tricky business. On the one hand we want to look as exciting as possible, with a wide range of designs, fabrics and colours, but on the other we want to do what we can for the environment. When I was moving home a few months ago, some of the items that I had to think carefully about were my shoes. I seem to buy new shoes all the time, keeping a huge collection – out of which I only really wear a small amount. I decided I’d try to get rid of a few that I never wear. But I don’t mean throw them out – I would never do that! Since I am aiming to become an Eco Empress I will of course donate shoes and anything else that I don’t use.
