Eco-Friendly Shoes

If you only buy second-hand then you may not worry as much about the material that goes into your clothing. However, if you want to buy new green clothing then you should think about what the clothes are made from.

Organic Clothing

Organic clothes are something marketed as ‘green clothing‘. This is because they are made from natural materials, which might include cotton, hemp, linen, wool and so on. Remember, just because you are buying a pure cotton garment does not mean it is organic. If it is organic it should say.

Synthetic Clothing

You also do not need to always buy organic to be green friendly. This is a hard one to consider, but you also need to think about how long the clothes will last. Synthetic materials could last longer and be worth it in the long run. But only if you shop for items you’re going to wear!

Think Carefully

As someone who is only just learning about green clothing and shopping I know that it is easy to get overwhelmed. So many companies use the word ‘green’ simply to make more money. But just because they say it’s green does not mean that it is. Unfortunately, because of this we need to do our research to understand what truly counts as green clothing – which is why I started this blog!
